UWC stands for United World Colleges, an international non-profit organization. Young people from more than 100 nations live and learn together for two years at one of 18 locations worldwide. UWC offers a premium, internationally recognized educational program – an excellent prerequisite for a future without limits.
UWC goes beyond the usual school experience. Living on campus with students from many different cultural and social backgrounds, the combination of practical experience in social projects and an exceptional learning environment provide profound motivation for academic and personal development. There are currently 18 locations worldwide.
The International Baccalaureate® (IB Diploma) is the educational program taught in UWC schools. The IB is internationally recognized and offers a demanding curriculum that promotes both personal and academic goals. With its holistic approach, the IB is an excellent preparation for studying in Switzerland or abroad.
The UWC Swiss Association represents the many alumni in Switzerland. In addition to annual meetings and networking events, the association also processes the applications of potential students and grants scholarships to successful candidates.
